Code of Honor
You observe a code of honor. This may be part of your training with an organization, it may have been taught to you by your family or mentor, or it may be personal – something you’ve felt in your core, or that you’ve learned over time.
Prerequisites: Have adhered to your code of honor at personal cost (DM’s discretion). At a DM’s option, a paladin automatically receives this feat.
Benefit: Choose one of these two benefits:
1. Honorable Recognition: Others recognize that you follow a code of honor. Whenever you adhere to your code of honor in a dramatic or heroic way, you gain 1 point of reputation. No more than 1 reputation can be gained in this way each game session. This is in addition to reputation gained through other quests and gaining levels. In addition, reputation gained in this way can only work for you, never against you (being identified by an enemy while undercover, etc). Note: Reputation works as in d20 Modern, allowing others to recognize you.
2. Silent Honor: You draw inner strength from your code. Each game session you have floating bonus points (equal to your character level) to spend on Will saves or Wisdom-based checks to resist or detect someone trying to make you act against your code. For example, a 6th level character who suspects they’re being tricked into disobeying his lord could opt to get +3 on his Will save. Later, when the same character is charmed to sell his family’s horse, he could opt for +3 on his Will save.
Special: Upon selecting this feat, write out your character’s code of honor. At least three points should be included in the code. Common points include:
Unfailing obedience to your king/lord (Law)
Must keep any oath you make (Law)
May not refuse a challenge (though you can send a student in your stead) (Neutral)
Not “cheating” in combat (throwing sand, fighting unarmed opponent) (Law)
Must avenge all insults to self, family, or people under your protection (Neutral)
Never desert a comrade in need (Good, Law)
Never betray your homeland in word or deed (Law)
Never engage in slander, blackmail, or extortion (Good)
Uphold your family’s welfare at all costs (Neutral)
Honor the requests of a dying person, friend or foe (Law)
Faithful Steed
Your steed is the stuff of legends, on par with Alexander the Great's Bucephalus and Rustam's Raqsh. Never has there been a more noble steed.
Prerequisites: Have advanced 2 character levels with the same steed. 6 ranks Ride.
Benefit: Your mount advances as you gain experience.

Horse Traits
Loyalty: Your horse obeys only you. It will do everything in its power to return to you if stolen or sold. Should you fall, the horse will stay by your side, attacking or threatening anyone trying to harm you. The horse obeys no one else unless that person is known to the horse and even then a DC 20 Handle Animal check is requires to earn its trust. The horse's loyalty can be transferred to another master, but it will be several weeks/months of work.
Willing: Your horse will do its very best to obey your commands, even if it doesn't quite understand what's being asked of it. If pushed too hard, the horse will drive itself to utter exhaustion, so its handler must be careful. A willing horse never requires Ride or Handle Animal checks to be spurred on when you are riding it.
Fearless: Your horse balks at nothing. It is immune to fear effects. Given that most horses jump at loud sounds, or even an unfamiliar person, this is extraordinary.
