Well, I don't know if they're GOOD, but they are *fun*.. Point Blank Shot, and Precise Shot.

PBS and PS apply to ranged attacks.. slings, crossbows, Bows, AND RAYS. Ranged Touch Attacks.

It's fitting my Sorcerer just great. If your Elven you get free profficiency with shortbow, longbow and comp short and longbow. Should a Sorcerer be in melee? Hell no I say! This KEEPS him out of melee. Don't want to waste a spell? Shoot your bow! You're good at it! I mean, you SHOULD have a high Dex as a Sorc.. at *least* a 14 (mine is 20 ;) )

The way I play my Sorc is maybe a bit different though.. his background was that he was raised as a huntsman for his small village, with the bow and arrow. He likes to stay out of combat, shooting his bow and arrow, and uses his spells only when neccessary. He stills views himself as an "archer", although he has these wierd things going on in his body that is more and more gaining control of (a Sorcerer's power is suppossed to come from within themselves).

Improved Initiative never hurts.. you don't wear armor and a real good portion of your AC comes from Dex. You don't get dex to AC when you are flatfooted, and you are considered to be flatfooted in combat untill you have made your first action.. so going first helps alot! Improved Init combined with your high Dex will mean you going first, or near first, alot. It could also get you in trouble though.. hehe, you go first, shoot something, then that thing is coming after YOU on it's turn.. but.. ::shrugs:: ;)

I don't know if they're the most power-gamish *best* feats, but they ARE fun, and I think they are really good :)

Spell focus and the buff summoned monsters one.

Spell focus adds punch to your spells without increasing casting time and ditto for the summoning one, although summons are usually full round anyway.

The lace feats from BoEM do the same.

At first level toughness adds a high percentage to your hit points.

Empower spell is great for a sorcerer b/c it lets him use higher-level slots to power buff spells (like Cat's Grace) and to power damaging spells. If you have Empower Spell, Sculpt Spell, and Energy Substitution, you won't have to take many damaging spells b/c you can pretty much shape low level ones into a specific element and make it do increased damage.

Code:
Spellcasting Prodigy     [i]FRCS Only[/i]
Improved Initiative [i]He who goes first lives longer[/i]
Point Blank Shot [i]Rays hit more and do more damage[/i]
Precise Shot [i]Rays can be shot into melee[/i]
Iron Will                        [i]You live longer[/i]
Lightning Reflexes        [i]You live longer[/i]

Assuming by "good" you mean good for a combat-oriented sorcerer...

I'll second the recommendations for Spell Focus and Spellcasting Prodigy -- both are excellent choices (provided you pick a useful school for your Spell Focus, like evocation :D).

Greater Spell Focus (in both Tome & Blood and the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting) is also a good choice. The errata'd version of Spell Thematics (from Magic of Faerun) seems like it would both fit the sorcerer's concept and provide a nice extra boost to her power.

If you use flying spells............

why not go for Flyby Attack?

while flying and making flyby attacks through threatened areas
Cosmopolitan (tumble) can really help you out......

Can you say Peter Pan?

/////////////////////////////////

If you use the Phantom Steed spell..........

Cosmopolitan (ride)... can help, along with Ride By Attack and other feats for fighting while mounted.

These feats will also help you when using real animals and flying carpets. So now instead of Peter Pan, we have Aladdin.

/////////////////////////////////

Along with these tactics, spell storing weapons are a lot of fun.

The various Elemental Substitution feats can be good, if you make sure each spell-level has one or two damaging spells with an Elemental damage type.

Largely, it depends on the "style" of sorceror you want to build. But for spontaneous casters, ElSub is -especially- useful if you get it in multiple flavors ... think "What element do you want to kill with, today?"

Improved Counterspell is also VERY useful for a sorceror, btw.
