D&D 5E Feats

As a monk you don't have to worry about feats. You have 3 stats to max. DEX, WIS and CON.

You may take toughness instead of the last point in CON or you may take mobility as a feat to maximize your damage output (mobility is the monk's best offense and defense). Strength should not be neglected. Athlete as a feat is also useful if you start as a human. +1 dex or str for free is nice.

except a dip[ into barbarian so i can add CON to my AC. Any help would be appreciated

You won't be able to just add con to your existing AC. Multi-classing rules state that if you get Unarmored Defense from one class you don't get it from another. Even if you could get both a Monk's and a Barbarian's unarmored defense, they don't stack. You would have to choose between 10+Dex+Wis or 10+Dex+Con.

I believe there are some homebrew drunken master archetypes floating around. Maybe even on the DM's guild?

I know there is a Pugilist Class. It's gotten some good reviews.

I think the stuff you're looking for doesn't exist for a reason. Your monk damage will increase as you go up in level and your AC will too. The barbarian dip will probably do more for you than anything else.

At most, I'd propose a feat like the ones from the Eberron setting in 3.5 that adds various non-monk weapons to the monk weapon list so they can be used with flurry of blows. They were always very specific (Whirling Steel Strike, for example, allowed the use of the longsword, while Serpent Strike allowed the long spear).

Maybe grant a +1 bonus to STR or DEX in addition to the weapon if you want. But that would allow you to increase your damage output without unbalancing the natural unarmed damage increase you get from being a monk.

Keep in mind that you can already use short swords, which are pretty sweet.
