Feb '09: What are you reading?

Reading [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Agincourt-Novel-Bernard-Cornwell/dp/0061578916/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233943508&sr=8-1"]Againcourt[/ame] by Bernard Cornwell. About 1/3 of the way in and it is excellent so far. A great mix of story and fact that deals with a series of fascinating events in history.

The Temple of the Golden Pavilion by Yukio Mishima. I bought all his translated novels back in college, and this was one I hadn't read. His main characters are always a bit messed up. Much different from the usual plot-driven stories I tend to gravitate towards.

After I finish, I should have a pile of new books as today is my birf-day and I asked relatives to check out my Amazon.com wish list. This morning I received The Essential Incredible Hulk v.4 and Caesar's Legion by Dando-Collins from my wife and kids. Yay!

I just read Eye of the Labyrinth by Jennifer Fallon. Like the series so far (published around 93-95). It's technically science fiction, but low-tech, almost like fantasy. Weird planet with two suns which just emerged from a period of darkness with people in the grip of a ... perversion of earlier religion to include human sacrifice, and the struggle by the losers of a previous conflict to overthrow the religion and major power of the area.

Also just started The Bell at Sealey Head by Patricia McKillip. I'm not far into this book yet, though.

I finished Mistborn: The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. Fantastic end to a wonderful series.

I'm now reading Lankhmar Book 3: Swords in the Mist.

Just finished Shakespeare's Counselor by Charlaine Harris. Not sure what to read next. I've been slowly going through the Darksun Novels and some random Science Fiction that I find in the house.
