I feel your pain.

I had that same mad urge two weeks ago.

What did I do?

I bought the book.

I've never been happier...

(Well, maybe I have, but it's a darn-tootin good game!)

Guh-heeeee...

I wonder how many FS books have been sold because of the insane actions of the Boston ENboards game(s)...

I've been meaning to pick FS up for the last few years and finally did so recently. It exceeded my every expectation.

Not only is the system a blast, but the setting is pretty dang cool. The way they handle the effects of time travel and the mixture of eras is amazing. An absolutely superb game that just made my top 5 list.

Consequently, I think that this system would be, hands down, the best for adapting Star Wars. I've seen some conversions on the Comrades in Arms FS site, but they're not to my liking... maybe I'll have to get on that in the near future...

Wow. I've played FS intermittantly for about 4 years and never once thought about how the rule structure would work with a different setting. The idea of adapting something like Star Wars to it is a great one. It's highly cinematic and things like Jedi powers and deflecting blaster fire with light sabers would fit seamlessly.

Fu = the Force
Driving = piloting
Fix-it = hehe...lots of cool techie stuff in SW

Sweet. Have to give this one some more thought...

I borrowed the rule book from a player in our group who is not often there.
Feng Shui reminds me of Torg - at least in regard to the Action Style, but I doubt that I would be a good master for it. But may be I will give it a try. Does someone here no of some good adventures for the game? (No Adventures -> to much work -> Stay with Shadowrun :) )

I don't have my books here to go searching for adventures, but I've liked most of those they publiched. The first adventure book, Marked For Death, has run really well for me. There's also an adventure in the main book, of course. Four bastards was OK, but nothing to write home about. The adventure in the back of Thorns of the Lotus was good. Hmmm, memory failing... I don't recall what else is out there.

BTW, for those who need an additional recommendation, and don't know me from Adam, I'd point out that Mike Mearls writes for Feng Shui, so it's gotta be good, right?
