Feng Shui, Paranoia and other such games

My list is a lot like PJ-Mason's, Herpes Cineplex', and Thanee's. I've been in at least a pick-up game for most systems, and am currently floating characters in the following:

GURPS Traveller (two, two, two systems for the price of one!)
In Nomine
Pendragon
Star Wars d20
Fading Suns (original rules)

I'm also running sporadic campaigns in the following systems (besides my regular D&D campaign):

Shadowrun
Aberrant
WereMage-ling (WoD without bloodsuckers as PCs)

I also take the habit of playing in multiple systems a step further: I change systems mid-campaign, and put characters right into another game (and its rules system) for whole arcs of the story.

Example: A few years ago, way back in the Flint Age (AD&D 2nd Edition), I had the party tracking down a quartet of elemental artifacts. These were supposedly the primal, original artifacts that were first enchanted to contain the four elements, and the party was in possession of one. As they found the second and third, they became targeted by the possessor of the fourth, an undead dao (evil earth djinni) that had gone totally bonkers. It held the Earth artifact, and had access to a unique gateway once owned by Xagyg the Mad. It was a portal to 'other Oerths'. Party and dao fight, party wounds it sufficiently to drive it into retreat, it flees through the gate. The three party members who hold the artifacts decide they have to rescue their 'brother' (the artifact), and they leap through the gate after him. Session ends on a cliffhanger.

Next week, I describe the scene to the players: ruined castle(?) with what looks like a battlefield visible through the holes in the walls. Various humanoid figures are seen laying against walls, huddled together. Party checks one...it's an orc! He mumbles something about being left alone, rolls over, and passes out. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, 5 bizarre, impossibly loud horseless vehicles come barreling into the courtyard, their drivers firing odd magical wands at the various humanoids, who panic and try to run. Party paladin, deciding that even orcs don't deserve this, leaps (ring of jumping) to defend one female orc. Guy on bike gets annoyed, pulls an SMG, and nearly cuts him in half.

At this point, I tell the character that he's taken a Serious wound, plus three boxes, and hand everyone their SHADOWRUN character sheets. For the next five or six sessions, the party had to maneuver through Sixth World Seattle, find the evil dao (who was going to use the earth rock to cause a reactor to overload, just because), and get home via a meta-astral quest.

I've about to do the same to the party with Werewolf: Wild West. Mixing genres and systems can be fun, if you know all the systems involved really well.

The other game that has suddenly interested me is Feng Shui.

Feng Shui: If you take an extra tic to louding chamber a shotgun round going "ka-chink!", it does more damage when you shoot it. Gotta luv it!

I've played Shadowfist the Feng Shui CCG

oh and Gurps... I play that every week, we play a Kalamar game with gurps.

Recently I have played

Feng Shui -- Was a blast. My ninja was detroying MEG Hal's character chinese restaurant but hey I was being chased by ninjas.

Angle -- Really love this game. I didn't think I would enjoy as much as I did.

Warhammer RPG -- Great game. I would actually rather play this one instead of D20.

Alternity -- Never actually played this, I have a bunch of books for it and seems really cool.

What game I am looking forward to.

FIREFLY -- Please release very very very soon.

I'm a big fan of Paranoia and Warhammer.

There are a lot of other rpgs that I dig, too, but those are the only other ones I actually have at the moment. I've been looking for Fend Shui for quite a while without finding it, too. :\

I have played Shadowrun, Paranoia, GURPS, Palladium, Rifts, Ninjas and Superspies, Heroes Unlimited, TMNT, WFRP, Vampire the Masquerade, Mage the Ascenscion, Rolemaster, and Mechwarrior.

I've got a bunch of other systems That I have not played but look fun including Ars Magica, Elric, Call of Cthulhu, Pendragon, MERP, Tunnels and Trolls, and others.

Right now it is all about d20 for me though.

I love Paranoia too. It's just a wonderful, wonderful game and when done right it's a blast to play. I've also really enjoyed Conan OGL, Babylon 5, Hackmaster, Castles & Crusades, Middle-Earth Roleplaying (MERP), Decipher's Star Trek RPG, Star Wars d20, Call of Cthulhu, Lord of the Rings, Warhammer FRP, Midnight, Shadowrun,. Alternity (Dark*Matter is IMO, one of the best campaign settings to come out of TSR) and GURPS.

(Un)holy thread necromancy, Batman!

As for what games I'm playing and have played... in the first category, I'm currently DMing one D&D campaign and being a player in three others: one D&D, one Mutant (Swedish RPG from ~1990, cyberpunk/postapocalypse) and one Eon (Swedish fantasy RPG).

Having played... that's a lot. This is what I can think of off-hand, not counting games I've only played a single one-shot in (* marks a Swedish RPG): Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, (old) Warhammer, AD&D 2nd ed, Alternity, TORG, Western*, Drakar och Demoner*, Khel-ataar*, MERP, Rolemaster, Star Wars d6, Castle Falkenstein, Chill, Cyberpunk, d20Modern, Dangerous Journeys, Dark Conspiracy, Exalted, GURPS, Hârnmaster, James Bond 007, Kult*, Macho Women With Guns, Mage the Ascension, Millenium's End, Paranoia, Pendragon, RuneQuest, Shadowrun, Traveller (Mega-, New Era, 4th ed, GURPS), TWERPS, Twilight 2000, Underground (dystopic future super-veterans, not to be confused with Underworld), Vampire the Masquerade, and Viking*. There are a bunch of others that I've read and/or played a single time, but that would be too many to list.

The list of games I have played is pretty long. How about some for my list of games that I want to play:

  • Lejendary Adventures
