Feng Shuit IC

Dennis shares One Eye's evil grin, grabs the rooster, and jumps up into the cab. He sets the rooster on the bench seat beside him and turns the key in the ignition. The diesel engine rumbles to life - a deep, throaty grumble that breaks the quiet hum of the Hong Kong night. He flips the headlights on and the breaks are released with a high pitched whine.

He hits the gas, but finds that the truck is slow to respond. "Ugh," he grunts. "The back of this thing's gotta be fully loaded." But loaded with what? he wonders as an idea builds in the back of his mind.

He gets the truck turned and starts building up speed as he approaches the ramp to the garage door.

"You still got that flying dude on the walkie talkie?" Dennis asks One Eye. "If so, see if he can't blast off the door latch on the back of the trailer. I've got an idea."

"I've already instructed him to start looking for the girl. I'm going to have to do this myself. One of you is going to have to hang on to the shotgun."

With that, he puts the shotgun in Tatjana's lap and rolls down the passenger side window. He's going to try to climb across the side of the truck as it's picking up speed and use the Python to shoot off the latch himself.

OOC: This is going to be dangerous as hell! I'm looking at at least a 10 to 15 Difficulty for this stunt, and One Eye's Martial Arts rating is already penalized by one point because of that vest he's got on. Not only that, but I've got absolutely no Fortune points to burn. This is going to be really friggin' hairy...

Martial Arts roll: 10 - 1 (Armor) + 9 (Blue Die) - 1 (Orange Die) = 17

Looks like I made it! Now for the Guns stunt, which has One Eye hanging onto the edge of the truck with his right hand and trying to shoot off the latch with the Python in his left (where is the latch on a typical delivery truck anyway?!):

Guns roll: 14 + 2 (Blue Die) - 1 (Orange Die) = 15

BANG! So much for the latch! Now all I need to worry about is trying to keep my grip on the truck when that thing slams into the garage door...

wait, what are you guys shooting off, the trailer that's on the back of the truck that is strategically placed there fully loaded with something cool just cause it's a movie?

Basically, One Eye just climbed across the side of the truck and shot off the latch for the rear door of the trailer, so that when Dennis smashes through the garage door to kick off this fight, whatever's in the trailer will spill out in spectacular fashion and give the mooks something more to worry about!

That answer your question? :D

OOC:

Yeah, what he said. :)

No sense leaving valuable props behind when they can be spilled violently across the floor.

Btw - good call on climbing along the side of the accelerating truck...much more dramatic. It'll cost the stunt budget a little more, but that should be put to shame compared with what comes next.

As the truck builds up some speed, Dennis glances over at Tatjana and the rooster. Both seem remarkably comfortable with this sort of thing, he notes. In one of the side mirrors, he can just make out the form of One Eye hanging onto the back edge of the trailer. The gun shot is completely drowned out by the rumbling of the diesel engine.

"Yeehaw!" Dennis cries as while he turns the brim of his Packers cap so it's on backwards. He shifts the transmission once more and floors the accelerator. The truck lurches up the ramp and plows through the metal garage door. The shriek of twisting metal heralds their entrance into the interior of the building.

[Drive check for simple maneuver of crashing through garage door 14 + 1 - 3 = 12]

[ooc - Corlon, a description of what we can see please? Could have a huge impact on what Dennis tries to do next.]

Edge enters into the room behind some crates, Sun Jin can see into the room from inside the ceiling (is that right?)
As the car rumbles towards the garage door, the men inside hear the rumble of the engine. The lead man yells "get the portals up!", and the man with the glowing hand yells to four mooks "keep the girl out of here until the portals are up!" All of the mooks (about 16) raise their weapons for the oncoming batttle. Finally, the truck busts through the garage door to find the portal things starting to spin and electricity arching between them. The truck also spills its contents all over the floor, which happens to be many very large strange looking fish.

[Speed: 8+4=12]

The mooks start raining bullets on Edge, making the place explode in a shower of molten lead. Though Edge is too quick for them: he jumps and uses a hook and rope to change direction unexpectedly, falling towards the mooks. He lands in one of their guns, jumps on it, and falls at their backs with both ninja-to unsheated, then quickly thrusts backsward with the swords, sinking them deep in the mooks´ backs. He then turns, showing a fierce but calm look in his covered face.

[Martial arts roll to finish two mooks 14+5-2-2=15, on shot 12. Next move is in shot 9; Edge will use Fox´s Retreat if someone looking competent is going for him.]

Speed: 8 + 4 = 12

As the truck comes in view of the portal things, One Eye sees them starting to spin and gather energy. I don't think so, he muses as he takes aim with the Python, moving the gun under the arm hanging on to the truck.

OOC: I'm going to have One Eye use the Python to try to take one of the portal devices out of commission. If they work in a closed circuit, there's a chance that he might be able to sabotage the whole operation. He's taking snapshots, so his effective Guns AV is 9.

Shot 12: 9 + 4 (Blue) - 7 (Orange) = 6
(probably missed, unless those things are really big)
Shot 11: 9 + 5 (Blue) - 2 (Orange) = 12
(this one definitely hit, doing at least 14 damage. Let's hope it's enough...)
Shot 10: 9 + 2 (Blue) - 8 (Orange) = 3
(aiiiiigh...another probable miss! Doesn't look like this is his night...)

For shot 9, I'm going to have One Eye let go of the truck, dodge the fish on the floor, then haul tail to Dennis's side window and yell for the shotgun. Any mooks that get in the way will get a face full of Maglite. He only has two rounds left in the Python and once they're gone, he'll have to get behind some cover in order to reload the thing.
