Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

Elise is a bit self consciencious about drinking to much so she cuts it off at one mug, spending the rest of the time drinking the various juices, through the night she'll banter softly, glad to have Lasair my her side she finally gets around to her earlier question "An Emsee, is a master of ceremonies, the figure head of the night or party in question"

Her mood lighting considerable "I think a dance is in order!"

*Lasair didn't drink her beer--instead she surreptitiously emptied it out when everyone was looking at Fang and then raised her glass as is drinking when they were all supposed to drink.*

*When Elise explains the emsee, she says:*

"Oh, so its just like a Feastmistress...they could have just said that," Lasair laughs, "These people and their crazy terms, eh?"

*She laughs a bit at her own self-referential joke.*

"A dance?" Lasair asks seriously, "But I do not wish to hurt anyone, and I do not have a blade with which to.....ohhhhhh wait! This is the kind of dance about which Vanitri told me, right?"

Sunny is feeling a bit grumpy, for obvious reasons: he's still not happy with what he saw anent Daphnie. However, he's trying to let it go, by letting the beer go to his head. Sunny intends to get pleasently buzzed, and keep that buzz going until night turns into morning and it transforms into the "mutha of all hangovers."

"Yes!" with no assurance in her voice "yes"

*Then she laughs in the same manner*

"Blade!?!" Feeling what seems a gauntlet of emotions in the last few minutes, Elise comes full circle, back to confusion. A trip which has left her disoriented and questioning herself "What kind of dance did he tell you about" She says cautiously after a few seconds, An attempt to grasp whats going on

"Oh, he told me that here they have dances where they don't use weapons, and they just move around with people while music is playing--these dances here are strange...they seem to me like an excuse for men and women to touch each other without the people thinking it is 'dirty' , but I just don't understand what some of these people have against a gentle, soothing alow massage when it comes to that? Certainly a lot more relaxing!...Still, when I was dancing with Vanitri, it seemed sort of fun--at least there are no blades!--so I guess I will take part if they do it here."

As some of the feasting finishes, some of the people congregate over towards a second pavilion, where music is playing, people are laughing, and people are dancing a lively common jig.

Daphnie grabs Sunny's arm and tugs at him "There you are, Troi and I couldn't find you earlier. Let's go dance."

Hellen takes Fang, wipes off his chin a bit, and says "Hon, you want to dance?"

Partners abound for any interested in dancing, and knowing how to dance is definately not deturing many of those enjoying it already.

*nod*
"yes"
*nod*
"Yes"
Elise sighs and smiles as her grip is renewed
"There is always dancing at festivals, though dances don't have to nessarily be bettween a man and a woman, you could dance alone, or with many other people in some cases"

"I once saw a man dance with blades, when I was young, though he was alone... and he didn't cut anything."

The particular dance at the moment seems to be more of a group dance, with partners often splitting up to circle the floor before they come back to their partners (or in some cases, switch partners, depending on what they were looking to do).
