I'm thinking some cool things that a fey animal might be able to do could include...
turn invisible
use dimension door
some sort of Jedi Mind Trick to get hunters to not shoot at them
speak Sylvan
serve as a mount for a fey humanoid
resistance to being charmed
cause sleep

I like the Feyspeaker, but sadly I don't think I'll ever be in a campaign where one would be appropriate.

As commentary though, I think the resistance rolls for Beguiling Dance should be a Will save vs. the Feyspeaker's Performance skill check.
