Fey'ri Question

I was just curious about fey'ri. Is one parent an elf and the other a demon (I thought that would make a half-fiend), one a fey'ri and the other an elf, or just how does it work? I know this may sound odd, but I was reading elsewhere that (for example) a gold elf and a succubus getting together would make a fey'ri. I am just looking for some clarification. Thanks!!

they are a hybrid race. some elves in forgotten relms consroted with some demons.....got exiled/went into hiding for a few generations.....the result was a true breeding hybrid colony.

this is an unique situation. The features of the gene pool are "set".

Fey'ri are the elf equivalent of tieflings, just as tanarukk are the orc equivalent. They have some fiend blood but not as much as a half-fiend (i.e., they have a half-fiend great-grandfather or some such).

One presumes there are similar racially-specific equivalents of aasimars. Personally I want to see the orc aasimar...

There is actually nothing about the Aasimar writeup I can see that seems to state they couldn't be descended from any Medium sized humanoids, although racially specific planetouched seems logical.

Actually,t hat's not necessarily true. Fey'ri are a specific group of individuals created through a specific breeding program... it is not necessarily the case that other elf planetouched have identical traits.
