fey'ri

IIRC, they are either LA +2 or LA +3, depending on which 'build' you select. I solo'd a Fey'ri hexblade through the Blue Book Adventures (Sunless Citadel, etc) and he did a fair job of surviving - but he wasn't overpowered. Having wings and DR is [BORAT]very nice[/BORAT] but it's less broken than a barbarian/sorcerer with fly. ;)

Yes, and this is one reason I don't like the 3.5 version of "Alter Self" which made it such that you can only transform into things of the same "type" as yourself. It basically means that humans can't use "Alter-Self" to make them looked like any planetouched race (outsider) and vis-versa.

The Fey-ri, it seems to me, are clearly meant to be able to use Alter Self to disguise themselves as NORMAL ELVES, which they can't do now, thanks to the 3.5 rules.

That is a rather lame change to 3.5e. Now all the shape-shifting infiltration critters with alter self (specifically for the purpose of infiltration) need to have a new ability.

I'd say the race needs a bit of revising to make its abilities work with the new rules, but overall, it's a decent +2 or +3 (depending on the package you pick).

Cheers, -- N
