Which would you like to be explored more thoroughly in a summer Open Design 4e project? Voted or not over at KQ, I'm happy to make it my summer focus with Fourth Party. Just putting a feeler out for your interests. I plan to work on my pitch Monday, so poll goes till then.

If you want a plane or location entirely different explored, please detail it below.

************ EDIT: Sadly, the poll only allows for 1 choice, but if you have more than one, feel free to let me know.

All of the above! They are all good ideas.

I voted for spirit world because I would like to have more ideas about how primal spirits work and influence the world.

I think it's easier to tuck the Spirit World into the Feywild, but with some rules. Primal Spirits have a dual existence within the Feywild and the Prime. Their physical bodies live in the Feywild, but they can see into the Prime and through their domain can interact with it (i.e. a forest spirit exerting its influence over trees/animals in the Prime forest it rules). Typically, a spirit crafts a Demesne (a pocket within the feywild that's linked to that location in the Prime, almost like a demiplane but on a much smaller scale), and can shape it to their desires. The result is like a trapdoor into a Feywild hideyhole linked to the location in the Prime.

There are several reasons for this dual existence. The first is that it takes power to physically manifest in the Prime, so your lesser spirits just don't have the juice to do it. They can communicate and use their limited access through the veil (the way they see from one plane to the other), and when summoned it's the summoner's power that's bringing them out, but they can't jump out and kick your ass. Next, existing in the Feywild doesn't take any power. Finally, the spirit can only be killed in the Feywild, so it offers some protection (and even in the Feywild it can be difficult to find and enter their Demesne).

I voted for the Far Realm because it hasn't been touched on much. However after thinking about it more, much of the appeal of the Far Realm to me is how it looms as this terrible, foreign place and that could get spoiled if the curtain was drawn back. So I'd like a Far Realm book to be limited to how elements of the Far Realm interact with the the Material Plane. It could detail denizens of the Far Realms, places where the Far Realms have spilled into the Material Plane, ambitions of the Far Realm (as perceived by the Material Plane), how the Far Realms influence characters, etc. But leave the curtain up so what's actually happening in the Far Realm remains a mystery.

Yea, everything on the list should be touched upon with a stern eye but the one I voted for was the Astral Domains. This was I thought it was weird that they have only given us the stat blocks of evil gods and not all of them. I also felt that they could of gone into more detail on each domain so that you could start a campaign there. I mean yeah sure tons of angels and exalted blah blah blah, but it really doesn't give a definite feel.

The second one I wanted to see expended was the Abyss because I wanna know who the exact 12 Obyriths are :p
