This is one of those products that sounds real interesting, but I'm waiting for the reviews and opinions of others. I'm not one that buys adventures or settings, I do all that myself. However, if this proves as interesting and good as it sounds I'll pick it up.

It's a cool concept. It is not, however, a campaign world in and of itself. It's sort of a diversionary setting... but a cool one, and it reminded me a little of Phillip Jose Farmer's "Dungeon" series... except the latter wasn't really a dungeon.

I think in some ways it would have benefitted if they went a little lighter on stats and heavier on relationships and NPC motives in this one. As it stands, the concept sounds a bit like it BEGS for those sorts of details, but the actual content of the module is statted out in a fairly similar fasion to a standard dungeon crawl.

Of course, review forthcoming...

i jus tneed s shop that carries it so i can sit down and read it to check it out!

WOW! i've had an idea amazingly similar to this floating around in my head for about a year now, i hope they did a good job. It would save me from a lot of work that i'm to lazy to do.

Anyone ever tried to do a DungeonKeeper (computer RTS) type game in which the PCs are the evil architects of a Mega-Dungeon?

I've always thought that could be a fun diversion and perhaps Dungeonworld will give me a chance to do it.

Relationships? NPC Motives? FFE's stuff tends to have that 0th edition feel. Their stuff is the Nobilus publishers/authors' nightmare. Well, not quite, it depends on who the author of a given work is, but they do tend towards the hack & slash stuff.

I just hope they handled the stats better in this than in past products, though their problems were mostly for new monsters.
