Fight through arrow slits.

Hi guys. I have just made a stone wall with some arrow slits from card board. I will use them in the next adventure. Now, 6 archers will be in the back of those walls. What kind of rules/tactics shall I consider? The list I can think of is..

1. Arrow slit gives archers 9/10 cover (+10 AC, +4 Ref Save, pseudo-Improved Evasion).
2. Arrow slit is so small (less than 1 square foot) that the wall still blocks line of effect for spells.
3. A caster can send a Fireball through arrow slit if he can make a ranged touch attack. AC of the slit is 10 + Size bonus (tiny = +4 ?).
4. PCs may try to break the wall (1 ft. thick, hardness = 8, HP = 90, break DC = 35)

Anything else?

well, it depends. how badly do you want to damage your PCs?

- if the wall with arrow slits is in a dungeon, put it at the end of a long hallway with only one exit (so the archers can keep firing if the party runs away)

(oh, and have the door lock after the PCs go through it )

- have the 'target area' for the archers well lit, but don't put a light source on either side of the wall - archers have cover and concealment

Also, I have re read the PHB and found that sending a Fireball through an arrow slit is very easy. AC for touch attack is 10 -5 (Dex) + size modifier. I am wondering if I should treat an allow slit as a Tiny target (+2) or a Diminutive target (+4). But anyway, AC will be 7 or 9 and very, very easy to hit. Am I missing something?

I add in the cover bonus as well to up the AC.

AC 10 + size modifier + Dex modifier.

If an arrow slit is Tiny:
10 + 2 (size) - 5 (Dex) = 7
