Fighter Multiclass Feats

Sorry if this has been covered, but does the fighter multiclass mean that you count as having the combat challenge ability for taking relevent fighter feats?

Unfortunately not.

EDIT: Actually, as written you don't get Combat Challenge at all, just the ability to inflict the Marked condition. You can see that on the Conditions page, 277 PHB.

I can see that it doesn't refer to the combat challenge ability specifically, but it does say that, “a character who has taken a class specific multiclass feat counts as a member of that class for the purpose of meeting prerequisites for taking other feats and qualifying for paragon paths”.
It could easily be read that the multiclass feat gives you access to any feat which has fighter as a prerequisite. If this isn't the case then the fighter multiclass doesn't give you any extra feats that you can access and this seems to contravene the paragraph that I have quoted above.

The multiclass feat makes the character meet the prerequisite "fighter", but it does not make the character meet the prerequisite "Combat Challenge class feature" any more than it makes the character meet the prerequisite "Wis 15".

This does mean that multiclassing into fighter does not make any more feats(apart from power-swap feats) available to a character. However, the character does qualify for all four of the fighter paragon paths.

Even if you took the multiclass feat to let you count as a Fighter for purposes of taking the Fighter feats, which Fighter feats would do anything for you if you don't have the Combat Challenge feature?

I think it is more like, "In the future, should we publish more Fighter feats or your group makes some up, having the multiclass feat would qualify you for any which only required 'Fighter'".

I agree it is pretty lame that there is nothing much for a multiclass fighter, but there are hardly any feats in the book to begin with.

It does not give you access to all feats with a fighter pre-req. It makes it so that you meet that fighter pre-req. It does nothing about other pre-reqs.

It seems like the multiclass feats are mostly to be filled in the future. The upcoming martial powers book can advertise fighter and warlord feats that can be multiclassed (as there are none in the PHB). There are no feats that can be taken from any divine power multiclass.
