I always liked Fighting Fantasy. I have the original series, plus the additional series released later (at least 2 of them), plus the new ones they've released more recently (Port of Peril, Assassins of Allansia, etc).

I have the Fighting Fantasy RPG and the Advanced Fighting Fantasy RPG. I think this boardgame may be right up my alley.

Never played the original books. I bought a copy of the standard box two weeks ago and received it this week. The visual is great. It's a simple game. Just starting deck one The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. Had to sneak past two sleeping goblin guards but my Wizard fumbled the roll. He had to fight them alone for the first round and lost 2 health. After that the three other adventurers joined the fight. They won and they found 1 gold coin.

We wil continue the adventure today. My wife and I will each play 2 characters.
