Well I've read the trilogy and I am very impressed with it, not least because FINALLY the Zhent's actually win something! Granted this does make the Hillsfar entry in Mysteries of the Moonsea (which I just picked up last week) completely obsolete, so I wish there had been better collaboration between the writers of that book and Richard Baker (as the ending of the Last Mythal trilogy was mentioned in Power of Faerun and that was published months back!)
As for the Star Elves, there is a 32 page adventure out later this year set in their realm called The Twilight Tomb.
And if there is a big FR project in the works, I'd like to see an updated FRCS personally, certainly the geography section could use an update to include the events in the past few years worth of novels (like the Yuan-ti losing control of Hlondeth, Ched Nasad's destruction, Myth Drannor's reclamation, the Zhent conquest of Hillsfar, Teshwave & Melvaunt were said to have been hit very hard in the Year of Rogue Dragons book #2, and so on). Plus if they lost the couple frankly naff adventures in that book they'd have room to cover places like Sossal, The Utter East, Hartsvale and the Blade Kingdoms that they missed out in the current FRCS.
