Final Wheel of Time book to be published in three volumes

Have you checked out anything else Brandon Sanderson has written? Based on Elantris and the Mistborn books, I'd say if he can't get it done in less than 750,000 words (and binding limits and logical break points mean that will make it three books), then there's not a writer alive who could do it well in less, and if Jim Rigney (aka Robert Jordan) were alive and healthy it probably would have taken him four or five books to wrap things up.
I haven't checked out Sanderson's other work, yet, but I want to at some point.

I am a huge Brandon Sanderson fan as he's one of my new favorite authors. If you have not read Mistborn yet, what are you waiting for????? It's a fantastic read, and after reading that and the sequels, I can understand why they went with him for finishing up TWoT series. He has the same epic feel that TWoT has, but it's a lot more cohesive and tight. I think he can pull this feat off... and he's young, he has plenty of years left in him to finish the series. ;)

I do not like Sanderson's work. His characters are flat and his world-building is very sub-par in comparison to RJ's. I have little faith that his work will measure up (though if he can cut the braid pulling in half, I'll be happy).

I'm hoping he can make the female characters distinctive and give them some depth. As for the "world building", I'd say Jordan handled that several times over. Hopefully Sanderson won't be adding more in the last three books.
