FINALLY found something to do with 3.0 books

Ever since 3.5 came out and I switched over, my 3.0 books have been gathering dust in a storage cabinet. Well, today I found a new home for them.

I work for a publisher, and this week they were doing a book drive to send to our troops in Iraq and Afganistan. They had an empty office set aside, and it was filled with tons of books. I bound the three books together and put them on the pile. Hopefully someone over there who plays will get a hold of them and get a game going.

I would have liked to included a set of dice, but I figured there was little chance they'd make it over intact, so I hope they can figure something out. Maybe use chits or something.

If you've switched over to 3.5, what did you do with your 3.0 books?

Well, I'm glad that they are finding some use rather than just collecting dust. You did a very good thing.

That's a nice idea. Right now my 3.0 core rulebooks are sitting right by my left foot, mostly out of usage. The DMG gets the most usage out of the three, mainly when there's something I know is in there but I can't find it in the 3.5 DMG (now that it's not on the same page as Mialee in a blue robe, I always have a hard time finding the Character Wealth by Level table). Either that, or I use them to see if something changed in the revision or not -- sometimes I've been surprised what hasn't been revised that I never noticed was originally there.

As far as the non-core books, I use them variably, depending on how much of the material I like and is easily converted to 3.5. Psionics' Handbook is... well, not used at all anymore.
