¨Pretty sure he was F18 in 2e, with high str and had a trident +5! Lots of items too, there was a magical eyepatch that enabled him to see just about everything (true seeing?) and he also had some returning daggers iirc.

No 3e stat block, but I think there's the usual alignment/level line somewhere in the FRCS. If I recall correctly, he's a NE Fighter 18 or something like that.

Ftr18 in 2E and eye patch is right, though no trident and high strength. (That would be Uthegental, Weaponmaster of House Baenre, a Barbarian-type). Jarlaxle fights with a rapier and main-gauche or throwing daggers.

Uthegental Armgo was the weaponmaster of House Barrison Del'Armgo, actually. The Baenre weaponmasters we've met were Dantrag and Berg'inyon, both now deceased.

[sblock=Rumor]No, it's true. It was first mentioned in Servant of the Shard - the last sentence - and Salvatore elaborated in the follow-up novels:

He was the third son of Baenre, so he was to be sacrificed. Imagine everyone's astonishment when he didn't die from the dagger thrust, but instead killed his older brother with a touch. Not bad for a newborn.

Of course, it was all a "prank" by Matron Mother Oblidra, using her psionic powers. Kimmuriel talks with Jarlaxle about that event in the books.[/sblock]
