Finding A Compromise Between Online Shopping And Local Game Stores

Well, y'see, the compromise between shopping online and shopping at you local gaming store is to shop at your Local Online Gaming Store!.

When and if I start buying more online, this will be where I go. But... other than the above link, how do you get there? There used to be a link on the Enworld front page, but I don't see it. (Got my old glasses on though, so could be just me...). Seriously, is there a link to the store from any of the Enworld pages anymore?

Re: question for celt

Hiya!

They're both equal with me. We usually just make a certain percantage on each product so if the total is the same then the profit is the same. The only variance on that would be if one or more of the products was on sale or had been sitting around a while. Then I either would make less money in the first case or could be glad to get rid of it in the second case.

To maintain the thread a bit more: The big hardcovers coming out like Epic Level Handbook or Monster Manual 2 are very anticipated by myself because they're "big releases" that "many people will want". Tons of other products come out of limited interest to the majority but a new WOTC hardcover is going to (theoretically) be a good paycheck week for me. If everyone in my area made a point to buy such things from an online warehouse then that would be a *very* serious blow to my store.

Thanks for the interest,

not to be too nosy.. but im gonna be anyway :)

what would you guys make more money off of?

1 buying 1 big book, say 40$
or
2 buying 3 books that total roughly 40$?

im interested, because as of yet, i havn't bought anything on-line (i spreed my purchases between my 2 FLGS) but i'm intregued by the idea of buying stuff that i dont really use over the net.

(i do look out for stuff at the local used bookstore though, so far i've gotten relics and rituals, to stand on hallowed ground, into the dragons lair, the ravenloft monster book and a few other things at 1/2 price.)

well back to the original question. if you had to chose between my doing either 1 or 2... what would you prefer that i do?

thanks
