In my campaign, one of the newbie players took over playing Meepo after his own character was killed. He lasted about 30 seconds before he decided to "split up so we can cover more ground." Then the poor guy started poking a gray ooze with a stick. :(

I chose this as my user name in honor of what the little dude might have become

Meepo in our game became the lackey of an elven sorcerer PC after he was banished from his tribe for being such an incompentant dragon keeper. Later, when the PCr returned to the kobold tribe's territories after becoming a dragon-disciple, the dragon-worshipping cult bowed down to the "Ascended One" and Meepo gained considerable influence for being associated with the PC. Coincidentally, the PC was also seeking some way to a achieve godhood. Meepo was later abducted by a malicious shadow being with a grudge against the character. The PC has since been looking for Meepo and has taken the Leadership feat to have him as a cohort

When we played Sunless Citadel, the party didnt have a rogue, so they threw Meepo in front of them in every corridor, and let him open any doors and chests. He died by some goblin arrows after five rooms ^^

Meepo is our party's sorcerer. Sort of.

When our characters were "undercover" in Zhentil Keep, trying to rescue the party wizard, we all spent most of our time masked by illusions and transmutations. At one point, we found ourselves embroiled in what was essentially a gladatorial match with a few gladiators and a massive cryohydra.

We went in disguise. The sorcerer masked himself as a kobold and called himself Meepo the Mighty.

He laid the death blow on the cryohydra with a well-placed lightning bolt.

There was much cheering for the mighty kobold.

Then Meepo retired from the gladatorial games (the sorcerer never donned that mask again) and hasn't been heard from since. But, oh, the legend. I hear they still whisper his name at the games in Zhentil Keep.

When they befriended Meepo and took up the quest to get the dragon back, I rolled up a random magic item openly for the two PCs and Meepo. The PCs got some scrolls or something, but Meepo got some magic full plate. We thought it was so funny, because the plate was: Armor of Slickness (coated in an oily film). It was perfect. We had this little two hit point tank running around holding the lantern. When they got back with the dragon, he regained his title and had leveled sometime in there to level 1 sorcorer. He might rejoin the party, we are still playing the game. We have been playing the same crappy SC dungeon for almost ten games now. I've totally changed it up. Anyway, Meepo is the Mighty.

He's dead Jim!

First a little back-story on how and why...
(Party composition: Human-Paladin/Fighter, Dwarf-Fighter,
Elf-Cleric(Ehlonna), Elf-Sorceress, npc human-rogue)
So the PCs get to the "S.C." and do some exploring; come across Meepo crying and sobbing over the loss of Calcryx and how mean the Queen was to him about it.
He wants to see if they will help him get the dragon back, and the Paladin (being a paragon of virtue ;)) says: "If we find this dragon I am going to kill it!"
They head into the main kobold area and engage in discourse with the Queen...the Sorceress speaks Draconic so she translates (even though the Queen speaks "Common" she's doing the old "royal-person acting like I no speaka u language so you think me no know what you say while you stand and talk in front of me and think me stupid" trick.)

And he goes on about how kobolds are "evil scum" and "the dragon is evil" and he doesn't care about them and has "no intention of even trying to bring this thing back."

(Moving on with long explanation) they sneak across the "pit trap" coming into the goblins' area, "through the back" so to speak, and proceed to raise a ruckus and kill a bunch of goblins. Stopping just short of the area with the gobo-Chief and the way down.
They are all hurt and out of spells so they decide to head back to town, (btw -One goblin got away to inform the chief and he was waiting ready with his 'posse' in his chamber)
SO they head back the other way and tell the kobolds "we killed lot's of goblins, we need to go rest and we'll come back later and finish the job."
Meepo, at this point has become rather clingy to the Sorceress, as she is pretty (for an Elf), speaks Draconic, is "of the dragon" (Sorcerer-dragon blooded-elves allied to good dragons in the past, etc.), and has been somewhat protective of him.
He tends to hide behind her, up against her, and keeps ahold of her dress as much as possible. ;)

So Meepo's all worried about what's going down and decides she treats him a lot better than the Queen does so he wants to come to town with her. (potential NPC apprentice for her ;))

For some reason she decides that "No Meepo needs to stay here."

Now I figure the goblins are pretty hacked off because the PCs have wiped out @half of them, and they are aware of what was going down because an "eye witness" got away, so the Chief tells Belak what is going on (Belak was changed to a nice Evviiil Priest of Nerull) and Belak figures out that the invaders came through the Kobolds area and the kobolds are blocking the way out for the goblins to go to town and a couple of days when the apple will be ready, so he decides that later that evening he will go pay the queen a "visit". So he and the gobos raid the Kobolds and he kills a few and storms up to the queen and demands her surrender, forces her to tell him what is going on, and stay out of the way or he will wipe out her clan. She spills the beans on Meepo and the PCs and gives Meepo up to save her hide and her "subjects" and Belak drags Meepo off...
The next day after a nice afternoon of relaxing around town, getting healed up and having a fabulous dinner and a "romping good time" between 2 of the pcs that night, the next morning they get ready and head back to the Citadel to 'take care of business,
they get there and don't pick up on the kobolds not be in the outer hallways, skip the inner areas and head of to assault the goblins from the other direction, fight the dragon, it gets away, (makes it to the Chief, he treats him nice) and the Chief gets his boys ready. (There were more than in the module) and the Pcs free the captured dwarf and the captured Kobolds, ahhhhaa..The kobolds tell them what went down last night. The pcs ask "what are you going to do now that we have set you free?" They blink...look at each other and say "Well, go back of course!" Pcs "Even after what the Queen did?!"
Kobolds:” Well yeah! She's the Queen, she does what she has to for the betterment of us all, and she’s the Queen!"

(Fast forward...) eventually the pcs make there way to the Tree and evviill Belak, (insert BIG Fight) Belak gets shot with a couple of Magic Missiles and the Dwarf manages to sneak "around back" and give Belak a good hit with his axe. Belak has beaten Meepo to a pulp (0 hps) during interrogating him about the PCs and tied him to a pole by the tree. Belak steps away from the dwarf and his 'bodyguards' move in, Belak casts "Death knell" and next round readies an action. The Paladin runs up and Belak says "Stop or I kill your little friend!" Paladin looks at him and grins...”Go ahead I don't care." He moves to leap forward and attack Belak, Belak touches Meepo, killing him and gaining the benefits of the Death knell, except that the Paladin hits him with the ubiquitous Greatsword and manages to kill him where he stands. (At this point the Sorceress is Not happy at all and wants
to do...unpleasant things to Belaks remains. Actually she checks to see if he is dead-dead or if they can heal him up so she can kill him again in an unpleasant way>) ehhehe

It's fun to be a RatBastardDM!!!
It's too bad though, everybody really liked the little guy and he would have made a nice addition to the party, but an RBDm does what an RBDm must!

Bwahaha!!

p.s. Sorry for the longp post, hope you enjoyed my 'little story"

Meepo actually became a mighty sorcerer in the last game I ran. I ran a group through the adventure path up to Nightfang spire, then I moved <sigh>.

Although right now my wife is playing the daughter of Meepo in my story hour. I've just started, but feel free to check it out.

No, really check it out!

Don't remember exactly what happened to him, but he didn't survive the module. The PCs really, really tried to keep him alive. It just didn't work out.

Erky remains with the group and was the primary cleric for quite some time. He remains the primary healer, as the other cleric is of Wee Jas.
