UK CR system? I am unfamiliar with that.
Yeah, the abilities mentioned, when stacked on a 5th + level character would be tremendous (especially the move amounts).
I have looked at it some more and there is one thing I don't like: the magical drain they exhibit on items. Is this a balance thing to keep PCs from wanting to become a vampire? I don't understand it nor do I like it. It leads to some rather dangerous ideas. Namely, if they drain magic items (to the point that even artifacts don't function in their hands) then shouldn't they have similar draining effect on, say, spells? I mean, if they can weaken a +10 sword, they should be able to weaken a Wall of Force, or hold on to someone and drain the duration out of a buff spell. And if magic folds away from them, shouldn't they get SR (or did I miss something)? It also cripples a potential pc vampire simply because, especially at higher levels, the dnd game is structured around using magic items to overcome problems (not something I like, btw, just a fact of the system).
I like a lot of the ideas. I love the age vs generation chart (oh, if White Wolf had only done something similar) and I am interested in seeing some CR/ECLs added to this. Perhaps you should look at Savage Species for some ideas?
