In your adventuring career, you've battled devils. You've bested demons. You've mastered daemons.

But how will you fare against angels and archons?

Find out in "Tears of the Blessed".

Be the Bad Guy.

The first two were so good that I'm eager to read this one. You guys made a really good Adventure Path. It's a bit railroady, but I understand why you did so (to avoid the Evil Stupid syndrome). It's easy to transform it less railroady if you can trust your players.

I plan to DM this, and it's going to be a truly epic campaign.

triqui,

Glad you enjoyed the first two books. We close in on having book three done.

We really do try to give the PCs as much freedom as possible while still having a plotline. For example...

Yes, you have to burn down Balentyne. But nobody tells you how to do it. The same with the Horn. Once you are given the missions, you can accomplish them anyway you wish. And eventually even that structure will go away. Talingarde will be yours for the taking!

There's only the matter of her valiant defenders.

Regardless, thanks for supporting "Way of the Wicked". More is on the way.

Oh, I agree there is a lot of room for freedom in the books. The horn is excellent, you can bassically do what you want to protect it. There are guidelines, but it's pretty much sandbox. The prison break is also sandbox. You can escape however you want, as long as you have a good plan.

What I mean with rail-roading is that the players are sometimes babysitted.
they have a big devil with them, who is like CR+11, who bassically kill them if they move out of tracks
. I think my players would find that anoying, but on the other hand, I think I can trust my players to play fair without needing to be constantly watched. I understand the reasoning behind that (the module says why: to counter most of the evil campaigns basic problems, like PC killing each other or derailing the game). And I think it *must* be done so in a published adventure, so DMs have a tool to control the plotline. It's just that my players would't need, or like, it.
