I just picked up this series a couple weeks ago and just finished watching it Monday. What a great show. I worry about its commercial viability even as a movie, though. Hopefully it'll catch on and be successful, enabling sequels.

I really wonder if Firefly can work on the big screen - I mean, one of the strongest things in Firefly was the characterization and the relations aboard the "boat". But that is usually not a strength of the big screen.

But, hell, when it is ever finished and even comes to Germany, I will certainly watch it. (I wonder if they will ever show the series itself on German TV.)
