[Firefox] Changing toolbar positions?

Knight Otu

First Post
I suspect I'm rather clumsy for that to happen, but occasionally, when typing something, I want to change the current Firefox tab. Directly above the tabs resides the the bookmarks toolbar. End result in a few cases? I clicked on a bookmark, rather than a tab.:heh:

It happened only a few times, but those few times were already too much, so I've checked if I can change the position of the toolbar. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do so, however, and searches didn't help me either, so I hope someone around here knows if, and if yes, how it is possible to change that?

I think you can do what you want by going to View and then Toolbars and then Customize. While the Customize box is open you can rearrange the toolbars.

To follow up on IronWolf's post, just right click in that area and Customize... by adding a new toolbar and modifying all your stuff so that you end up with a blank toolbar between the tabs and your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Thanks, that's a nice work-around, but is not quite what I had in mind. And for people that have a lower screen resolution, it really takes away screen space...

If you have the (essential IMO) Tabbed browsing extension go into Tools>Options select Tabbed browsing. Then scroll down to User Interface the second tick box allows you to move the Tab bar to the bottom of the screen.

Or press ctrl+tab to switch tabs.

The exstension can be found at: http://216.55.161.203/theonekea/tabprefs/

Also, you can customize and move the bookmarks in-line with the top toolbar.
