Fists of Iron

The Fists of Iron feat from Complete Warrior says that you can add 1d6 to your unarmed attack damage by spending one of your stunning fist attempts. Do you think the rules allow for the expenditure of multiple SF attempts to add more d6s to one strike?

If they don't, do you think that it would be unbalancing to allow it?

I'd require a second feat for it. And no, I don't think the rules allow it "as is." It would be too powerful.

I really don't think it's too powerful. For each Stunning Attack you give up, you're adding an average of 3 points of damage to your fists- nad that's IF you hit. It doesn't increase your attack bonus at all, and Monks have crappy attack bonuses as it is.

You're already taking a feat, and you're giving up stunning attacks to do a measly 3 points of damage. On average, I'd rather take the Stunning Attacks (being stunned effectively disarms you, makes you lose your Dex bonus to AC, AND gives attackers a +2 to hit you)- so I don't see why you should have to take a second feat to be able to give up more Stunning Attacks and do a bit more damage.

True, at 20th level you could make one Uber-attack, but you'd be much better off using your Stunning Attacks individually.
