Fix a broken spell -- Miasma

Heroditis

First Post
I (and more importantly my DM) agree that the spell MIASMA from MotW is broken. Duration level*5, no save, cannot breathe or cast spells, if cannot hold breath for duration --die (see drowning rules). As written, a 4th level spell cast by a Druid automatically and without save eliminates an opponent spell caster for at least 35 rounds or death (whichever comes first).

My idea for a fix is to drop the duration to level*2 or level*3 and add that it can be dispelled by GUST OF WIND or similar spells.

Thoughts, opinions, ideas?

Supposedly Miasma has a Fort save to negate that was left out of MotW for some reason; just using that should solve the problem (personally, I would change the duration to one or two rounds/level as well).

It isn't 'errata', at least not yet.

It was either an email or msg board post from the actual author of the spell, stating that he had written Miasma with a Fort save to negate, and he didn't know why it was published with the save missing.

That's the last I've heard about it.
