D&D 3E/3.5 Fixing 3.5 druids - for felon

Remove Entangle, Produce Flame, Fireseeds, Flame blade, Flame Strike, Baleful Polymorph, Firestorm and all non-core spells from the druid list. After all they're suppose to have a weaker list. With the current list they have and more spells added from non-core sources they become better wizards than wizards. Most certainly they're better fighter than fighters.

Penalise the druid with exp penalties similar to a familiar when the animal companion dies.

Remove natural spell.

Remove "Wild" enhancements.

Make Polymorph work like in 3.0 because the "improved" version is crappier and causes way way more problems.

Make Shapechange work like 3.0 because the "improved" version is crappier and causes way way more problems.

Make the Summon Nature's Ally list work like 3.0 because the "improved" version is crappier and causes way way more problems.

Did I wander into the house rules forum by mistake? No...

I've only seen OTT druids played by OTT powergamers using d20 products outside of core, and racked'n'stacked for maximum cheese. That being said, I've seen him play most all classes like that, so it is by no means a universal statement about the ease of exploiting the druid...I've seen several druids that were fine. I would fix the problem by playing tighter to core, limit magic items that work when WS'd, and keep under the player wealth guidelines.

My concept of druids are closer to Terry Brooks' Shanarra druids, so I like all the fire and lightning, and consider their spell list fine.
