I've played many many systems over the past 20 years. If its one thing I learned is that what a system looks like on paper and what a system played through can be 2 different things. The back of the DMG has a town and a mini dungeon.
While I am tempted to start house rulling 4ed I and my game group will go through it and see how it plays. It will only be one gaming night.
