D&D 4E Flanking in 4E

Looks like you can flank with ranged weapons now in 4E. The only catch being that you still must be adjacent to the target. You can't flank at a range.

Also, since unarmed attacks no longer provoke AoOs and you can threaten with them (more specifically, there is no "threaten" in 4E), you can flank when unarmed as well.

Yeah they fixed unarmed combat and made it less of a pain, but I'm pretty sure ranged attacks still can't flank. You can't use a ranged weapon in melee. The flanking rules state that you have to be on opposite sides of the enemy, adjacent to the enemy, and ABLE to attack. If you had a one handed ranged weapon, you could feasible be flanking with your offhand, either with a one handed melee weapon or with your unarmed attack. Of if you were using a thrown weapon that could also be used in melee like daggers or handaxes.

There appears to be no limitation on flanking with ranged weapons.

You must be adjacent to the target and able to attack. You can attack with a ranged weapon, but you provoke an opportunity attack if you do so. This appears not to prevent you from flanking with a ranged weapon.

If I am adjacent to an enemy and have my longbow drawn, how am I unable to attack?

Ankle biting is an unarmed attack.

Also, a prone opponent with a loaded crossbow (or a sword, or a spear...) behind me is gonna make me concerned for my delicate nethers.
