Flanking the Tiny

Zen

First Post
The other night our group was effectively stalled by a pumped-up raven familiar charged with chill-touch.

Aside from the resulting embarrassment, a rules question also emerged: a tiny creature has to enter a medium creature's square to attack it. This provokes an AoO which was resolved. Now, one of the medium creature's rogue allies moved into the square the tiny creature just vacated-- is the tiny creature flanked?

Any RAW to clear this up?

Nono. Not "can the tiny creature flank" but "can the tiny creature BE flanked by someone it shares a space with, assuming someone else is five feet away".

Pretty sure it can. Use the line test. This is assuming a person threatens their own square, which I'm pretty sure they do...

No flanking. Tiny creatures do not threaten.

He's asking about two Medium creatures flanking the Tiny one.

I think in this case, no - the raven could be anywhere in the Medium creature's space, so he isn't necessarily between them. A third Medium creature on the other side, however, would be able to flank with the Rogue.

The creature is in a square. The line must pass through opposite corners or edges of that square. Since one of the opponents is in his square, the line only passes through one corner or edge, not two...

Yeah (I agree with Hyp), the medium creature would have to back out of his square so that there are three squares in question. Ally-->Enemy-->Ally
