Just before the great crash of 06, I started a PBP Space Wargame called Fleet Action! With the lost of files and players after the crash the game was closed down. Well I am going to see if I can get it up and running again.
Fleet Action! is a space warfare simulation between to two opposing sides. Each player will control a single commander who will be in charge of several assets; be it starships, space stations, space marine brigades, etc. The main commander of each side will also have control of Victory Points which are gained by successes/accomplishing goals by your side's forces. He can spend these VP's to help your side out. Getting Reinforcements and/or Supplies, Setting Up Spy Missions, Getting the most out of a repair dock, Influencing a neutral side or force, or just about anything you all can think of (with in reason of coarse).
A turn might consist of a player sending the 5th Destroyer Squadron (three Odin class Destroyers) to a near by system to conduct an anti-piracy patrol). Etc... Etc...
Role-play elements might include an escape by your character from an exploding starship, being captured by the enemy, leading a star fighter squadron into an assault run, trying to discredit another player's character so he/she could get a promotion, etc.....
Each side will have a set of objectives that their side must accomplish if they are to win the game. How they go about doing this is up to them.
So I am looking for at least 10 players for this game. Five per side. I would also like some alternates in case I lose any players during the game. Any of my players from the first game will have first choice to join up.
There is a Blue Team and a Red Team.
Once the teams are formed I will debrief them on their teams goals and assests.
