Hey there: Headed to Austin in two weeks for a conference, and have a little free time in my calendar. I always try to check out local shops when I travel; does anyone have a local FLGS in the area that is a can't miss?

I will second that motion - it's a great store. There's a chance some kind of event will be going at any given time so if you have an interest in anything from 'clix to Magic to Pokemon to a wing game you may be able to play in one of them.
