I'm inspired by the Flumph Rap my random comment (that the difference between editions is mostly about the prevalence of flumphs) inspired.

So who likes flumphs?

Have you used them as a DM? Just for humor, or for real?

Has anyone ever had a flumph PC? Any half-dragon, half-flumph ninja shadow dancers in da hizzouse?

I like flumphs! Someday, I hope to kick off a campaign using "Box of Flumph" from Dungeon 118. Here's hoping that the flumph will make it into the 4e MM.

Flumphs should totally be a playable race in core 4e. Gnomes, not so much. They're really just constructs that sit on the lawn anyway.

I like Flumphs but have not used them as a DM. I have encountered one as a player though. Not knowing what they were my good character quite enjoyed the fried flumph he was offered by an evil elf diplomat who was hosting him and his party.

The flumph is cool in my campaign. They're a cluster intelligence (like cranium rats) that protects the world from the Far Realm. They're known as the "stitchers of worlds" due to the way they close up bad portals (and occasionally stitch demiplanes into the Material World).

I was going to use that as the second adventure in a Neverwinter/Luskan game -- sadly, the group didn't maintain its cohesiveness after the first two sessions as a couple of members were from basically a state away.

I may yet use it someday!

PS: Personally, I'm a bigger fan of the flail snail!
