Flurry and 5 ft step

I just wanted to check, but a monk can take a 5' step in the middle of a flurry, correct?
For instance, if he begins a flurry, hits and kills a foe in the first roll, can he then step to another foe and continue flurrying?

The wording made it sound like it worked just like an iterative attack, so should allow the 5' step I'm thinking. There was a little discussion about it in our last session, so I just wanted to clarify.

Yes. A flurry is just a full attack action and you can take 5ft-steps in them.

Indeed the monk may. This is one of the many reasons some consider the 5ft step to be unbalanced (but I don't want to get into that again )
