Flurry of Blows and two weapons

Do monks have to include the penalty for attacking with a off hand or do they only take the penalty for the flurry of blows or will my monk have to take two weapon fighting to use his fist and a kama

also the phb does not have a desc for the saingham can anybody tell me what its special monk ability is

A monk can switch back and forth between fist and kama as part of his flurry without any additional penalty. Neither is considered an off-hand attack (so he applies his full Str bonus to damage on all attacks).

Alternatively, he can elect to treat one of them as an off-hand weapon (particularly if you choose to use all the recent FAQ rulings), in which case he can make an extra off-hand attack, but takes all TWF penalties (as well as flurry penalties), and can only add half his Str bonus to damage with the off-hand attack.

It doesn't have a special ability. It's... well, pretty much a pointy stick :)
