Flying Donkey ?

I'm creating a slightly mad Wizard that wants a flying donkey as mount (awakened, so that it can also speak).

For what concernes the awakening there is no problem (just need to find a 5th level druid, explain him the situaton and pay some cash), but I was wondering on how to make it fly

I don't want a very good flying speed: 60ft (average) or 80 ft (poor) can even be enough, but I want it to be active all the time.
Whether to have wings or not this is not a problem, I care not.

My idea was to create some kind o "horseshoes of flying" (using Craft Wondrous Item and Fly).
What could be a suitable price ?

The Wings of Flying cost 22 kGp (using the errata) but have a much better flying speed.

thing that's good about the system is that you can make magic items and you don't need to be limited to the items used in the dmg

for example for the same price as wings of flying you can make horseshoes of flying. nuff said

I'd consider making it a Saddle of Flying, since the Wings cause actual wings to sprout, and if you're basing it on that item, you might want to stick as close to it as possible.

I think the Wings are cheaper due to the fact that you have to have some room to fly in and it's not just an application of the spell.
