While perusing a recent issue of Game Informer, there was an article of an upcoming game being set in the Forgotten Realms called "Demon Stone" if I remember correctly. The game is more action-oriented than role-playing-oriented from the looks of it. R.A. Slalvatore is writing the story for the cut-scenes in the game.

Anyways, according to the article, R.A. Salvatore has given his consent to use Drizzt for the game. He will be a playable character during a portion of the game where you are protecting Mithril Hall from invasion. The article even included a few screenshots of Drizzt in action. Very nice.

I've been looking forward to Demon Stone for a while now. The fact that it takes place in the Bloodstone Lands rather than the Sword Coast immediately piqued my interest, as did the mention that it would feature the voice acting of Patrick Stewart and Michael Clarke Duncan. Plus, it's made by the same guys who made the fun and addictive The Two Towers console game. All in all, it looks like its shaping up to be a pretty cool game. :)

I'm not surprised that Drizzt might be a playable character; after all, Drizzt was an unlockable secret character in Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance II.
