Delwin has had to drop out, at least for a little while, due to his new work schedule. I will take one or two PCs! Note that the party is, without Delwin, lacking any sort of rogue type class.

============================
Adventure Name: For More Than Glory
DM: Emiricol
Campaign URL: www.emiricol.com
Level(s): (of Participants) 4th
Region: Middle Lands
Kingdom: Mittendein
Date/Time: Every Sunday, 6pm Pacific (7 Mountain, 8 Central, 9 Eastern) - NOTE: We are pausing the campaign until the first Sunday of January.
Expected Duration of this session: 3 hours per session
Format: Campaign, played via OpenRPG (www.openrpg.com) - virtual tabletop gaming software (Windows, Linux, Mac)

Adventure Plug: A band of adventurers out to make some money and get by in a harsh world. They so far have ended up doing a lot of good (or trying to), but mostly for selfish reasons.

Em,
Didn't realize you were running this thing that late on Sunday nights. Starting in January, I could actually play in this thing. So the question is: should I just make up a 4th lvl character and submit it for check in, try a 1st lvl ECL character, or just start with a 1st level mook?

Very cool :) How about a concept before spending time statting it out? Also - anything ECL=4 would be acceptable. Goblinoids, while not banned, will have a /very/ tough time of things. I will actually start you out with the average XP of the party, modified by some whimsical factors arbitrarily, but you will be closer to 5th than to 4th when the game starts. Finding a reason to be in a dockside bar would be a great boon towards getting you into the campaign, by the way, if you are ready as of when the game resumes.

I am thinking of a rogue/fighter with emphasis on grappling. Racial thoughts range from Lizardfolk or Half-Ogre to Human.
Alternatively, a Wood Elf Rogue with a level (maybe two) of Fighter specializing in ranged combat and stealth.

I don't know how welcome a Lizardfolk character would be in Mittenden, and I know Half-Ogres and elves do not get along. Also, I don;t know how we've changed their stats for 3.5, if at all.

Reckless - the half ogre probably wouldn't fit. The Lizardman could fit in, though there may be some hard feelings here and there from the Mittendein-Thoradur war (but not much), and of course general OMG IT IS A LIZARDMAN! reactions. The Elf would fit just fine.

You would have to make some changes if you went lizardman, when the revised guide comes out (currently pending only review for 3.5 changes to feats, monsters, PrC etc.

Sly - There might be. I should know in a few days if another person who contacted me will be able to or not.

I also had a question about some of the new 3.5 books. From what I remember, we accept anything from offical WOTC books, so long as you type it up on your sheet. However, do we allow books like the book of Exalted Deeds, Complete Warrior, and things like that?

I own nothing beyond the core books and class splatbooks, but I would consider allowing individual items from WotC sources you mentioned. Depends on what they are :)

Actually, as an observation from one of the players, the elf may fit TOO fine. That is, we already have him. One would have to make his character very distinctive to differentiate him from Valdir, an elf specialized at ranged combat and stealth.

Well, as I said, I can type out anything I would like to use. There's some neat little things I've found that I'd like to base characters on, but I haven't had the time or chance to do it. If I get to play again that would be a mighty fine opportunity. Of course I'd send them to you beforehand to ok, but they're all WOTC.

PS - Finding a good reason to get into a dockside bar won't be that difficult :) I'll write you a history for the character and everything when I find out if I'll be allowed to join.
