I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I thought I'd share a suggestion for those of you using paper/cardstock counters or dungeon tiles or maps that may help make them more durable and "feel" better when using.
Floor tiling.
You can go into just about any department store with a hardware section, a hardware store, or maybe even a dollar store and get sets of 3-4 12"x12" floor tiling for around $1 US.
They have adhesive on the backing, which you can remove and place the cardstock on and then cut to fit.
It gives rigidity and some "depth" (the tiles are about 1/8" thick) to them and really looks good. Plus, the counters aren't as likely to shift around due to the increased weight.
Since I've been doing this (originally to use for Warmaster counters) it has really made me appreciate the Counter Collection Digital purchase a while back even more.
