Forgotten Realms 4th edition

Oompa

First Post
So i was thinking of starting a 4th edition Forgotten Realms Campaign when my players are done with the adventures they are in now (is going to take a while so i have time)

But i only see one adventure book for FR, 2nd level to 4th level. When do new adventure books come out for FR? Or do i need DDI for adventures in FR?

They did retrofit Keep of the Shadowfell to Forgotten Realms as well as Eberron. Don't know if that was popular enough for them to bother with other modules, though.

Generally, WotC works strongly to make generic adventures, not tied down to any specific campaign world.

While this might mean we lose out on specific world color, it does mean WotC are able to keep up profits by not going in the TSR trap of having to support more than one user base at a time.

Hence the (bland to some people) new mantra of "everything is core", including things that "all classes, all builds, all races are perfectly fine in all our worlds". There shall be no excuses for not purchasing every supplement no matter in which world your campaign is set. Guess the ideal is for specific world color to be "local color" only, not defining (and limiting) parameters.

"Less is more" simply isn't compatible with WotC's bottom line.

Hmm my players already have started H1- KotS and i was planning to run the following adventures to..

After this i wanted to maybe do a FR campaign.. Maybe i flavor Scales of War into FR.. have to check if that would be easy..

There's also a FR conversion for H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth in Dungeon 156. ;)

There's only been one FR specific adventure in Dungeon so far (Menace of the Icy Spire in Dungeon 159) which is a good followup to the adventure in the FRCG.

I wonder if there is a market there, or at least a job opportunity. I've seen on several other threads people's interest in more adventure paths.

I wonder if WotC would support/develop the FR adventure path after the visit to Spellguard. I have a nice idea of what the heroes would be up against at epic tier.

I wonder if some of EN Worlds talented adventure creators could put a flea in the right ear and take charge of an entire adventure path (Not looking at anyone in specific Pirate Cat) for the campaign settings that have/will come out.

Would be perhaps more interesting than the seeming randomness of the scales of war adventure path.
