The Table of Contents for both Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun.
Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.
The campaign is only dead if you kill it.I wasn't insulting, so I apologize if you feel that way. Thought, if I "read" as insulting, it's because I'm not happy. It's not an easy thing to process that your 14 years old campaign is now dead. I will heal, over time. But today the wound hurts.
What do the credits look like, if I may ask?I'm honestly a huge fan of almost all of these lore developments and how the world is changing. My hat is off to the whole team, they've done the Realms proud in the story department.
The loss of official support sucks. I felt similarly in 2014, when the 4e version of urban magitech Eladrin vanished. It had been the most Norse-esque of all of the D&D Elf varieties. But I continued my own campaigns − heh and continued pressing the issue publicly. Now that the 2024 Elves can be any ability score boost, the High Elf really can make a great Cha-Int, high magic, otherworldly Elf flavor. Prominent Bards and Psions. I am actually happier now than ever. I have these Norsesque Elves in a town above the clouds of the Feywild.I lost the interest, sadly. It will be very difficult for me to regain it. My brain has been always like that.
Looking into that a bit, the Blade Kongdoms have almost never received much detail, amd when they do it is very Mediterranean, built on ancient Chessentian ruins and such. It fits?Oh and somehow The Bladekingdoms are considered part of the Old Empires Region now. The cultural connection I don't know.
Dan Dillon and Chris Sims are mentioned in one of the books. What do the credits look like, if I may ask?
These were cooking a good long while.Dan Dillon and Chris Sims are mentioned in one of the books.
I felt a bit of joy seeing people who haven't worked for Wizards in a long time still showing up. Also Crawford was rules lead on one of the books
The poster stated their autism doesn’t really let them move on. Once seen is corrupted forever in their mind. The loss of official support sucks. My point is, specify exactly what the issues are, when Forgotten Realms products are discontinuing the Abier culture, in some sense. Sure, they are still there, but this is different from exploring them in a way that Waterdeep is explored. Roll with it. I am sure it will work out. Dont wait for 10 years to continue your own campaign. Find things, publish things, that do support it.
