The Table of Contents for both Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun.
Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.
The version of Icewind Dale presented here is different than Rime of the Frost Maiden. Canonically it's a decade after the events in RotFM but practically you could mix and match elements to make the version of Icewind Dale you prefer. The "new" version continues the survival horror theme.Icewind Dale, 38 wasted pages
Even so these are feelings we can all relate to.The poster stated their autism doesn’t really let them move on. Once seen is corrupted forever in their mind.
How? How is your campaign dead? Did you suddenly lose all of your FR stuff? If you started 14 years ago, you have the 3e FR stuff which in my opinion is the best stuff out there for it. I haven't seen the new book, so I don't know if I like it or not, but even if it stinks, it not can't kill my FR campaign, it can't even hurt it.I wasn't insulting, so I apologize if you feel that way. Thought, if I "read" as insulting, it's because I'm not happy. It's not an easy thing to process that your 14 years old campaign is now dead. I will heal, over time. But today the wound hurts.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 14 years ago now is late 4E.How? How is your campaign dead? Did you suddenly lose all of your FR stuff? Now you've done it. I have an image of a huge Wesley Snipes fighting Godzilla now. Godzilla vs. Daywalker!Looking into that a bit, the Blade Kongdoms have almost never received much detail, amd when they do it is very Mediterranean, built on ancient Chessentian ruins and such. It fits?
LOL I skipped 4e entirely, so it was 3e for me. My brain just plumb forgot about the intervening edition.I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 14 years ago now is late 4E.![]()
Well, in this case the issue at hand is 4E setting material being rolled back to a more AD&D stste in the Old Empires.LOL I skipped 4e entirely, so it was 3e for me. My brain just plumb forgot about the intervening edition.
That won't bother me any. I've nixed the major official events that happened after the Time of Troubles, including the death of Azoun.Well, in this case the issue at hand is 4E setting material being rolled back to a more AD&D stste in the Old Empires.
I have an odd history with the FR, starting in with Tyranny of Dragons and the Sword Coast Adventurers Guide...so I love 5E era FR and have a lot of nostalgia for it now...but everything prior to thst is stuff I have dug up in the past decade. I have arrived at being a bit now an eclectic mixture of 5E era elements and pre-ToT Originalism (they just...ruined a lot in the 2E era, like for nonreason, such as Hellgate Keep in the North just being tossed out or all the weirdness with the Horde Campain or the Maztica stuff....).That won't bother me any.
