The Table of Contents for both Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun.

Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.

How? How is your campaign dead? Did you suddenly lose all of your FR stuff? If you started 14 years ago, you have the 3e FR stuff which in my opinion is the best stuff out there for it. I haven't seen the new book, so I don't know if I like it or not, but even if it stinks, it not can't kill my FR campaign, it can't even hurt it.

Basically, this:

My autistic brain works like that, lol. Once I don't like something, everything related to it enter that "something" area. For my brain, Tymanther is destroyed. I can try to think otherwise, but I know it will be difficult to change that idea.

It happened the same with Dragon Age The Veilguard. Once I learned that game destroyed the country of the first Dragon Age, I can't enjoy said game. The Dragon Age Origins game had been my favorite for years. Now, I can't get pass the origins stories before losing interest.

The peculiarities of autism, I guess.

Is it worth continuing the story?

I don't know. As I said, the wound hurts today. I need time to think about it and see if there is any worth to it.

If I give you any answer today, it will be negative (like, according to this book, dragonborn are now in Calimshan as servants of the genies and the like... when, according to their lore, if there was something dragonborn of the Realms hated was dragons and genies, lol - you can see how the writers didn't really cared about this, they just wanted to restore everything to 2e status and so wrote the first thing that came to their heads...).

Even if the government of Tymanther was destroyed, the population still survives. Some Dragonborn would try to rebuild, some would start new lives elsewhere, sometimes both.

Is it worth continuing the story?
Is this what @Zeromaru X was trying to tell me when he said I wouldn't like how the new book is portraying the Dragonborn? Tymanther destroyed? The Dragonborn Diaspora?

The Calishman Dragonborn were part of overthrowing the Genies and casting them into the wilderness, not serving them.
