[Forked from 4e Class Survivor] Why no Leader love?

I'm really not sure the voting results were caused by generic leader hate, so much as all the leaders being somewhat polarizing. There's a solid block out there that dislikes just about every one of them.

I'm going tot ake this moment, in the room with all the leader players, to complain.

Man, the barbarian in my group annoys me. Because he will always use his movement powers to charge 10+ squares ahead of the party. ANd then get his ass beat because he's now surrounded and we're all lagging behind.

I have to sweat to get up there and heal him.

The player KNOWS this. It's pointed out every fight. But even the DM says "That's him roleplaying his character".

It's still annoying that he moves very far away, thus spreading the whole group out, away from any defenses, and sucks up all the healing.

Well, I still feel that poll is not very representative, and there was a large block of players/posters who are skewing the results. I can understand some classes being voted off, but I think a lot of later posters are jsut voting for one of hte two front runners.

I don not like all the leaders, and was happy to see the artificer go, and he probably left at about the right time. I am not surprised aboutthe bard either, as he is mroe iffy, but the warlord and cleric, I blame the group who was voting them off, by skewing the results. I do not like warlords at all, but they should not have been voted off so fast.

Being able to look at the results is a problem over there. This round being able to look at the people voting is a bit odd too.

Because the Leader-haters were slightly more organized than the other haters.

The majority of players may love Leaders -- I certainly enjoy them -- but that's irrelevant. Survivor-style games are all about focusing hate, and have only limited relation to overall popularity.

QFT. Classes that may receive very focused love (such as the Shaman) will get voted off. It doesn't mean the class is really that unpopular - it just means that those who hate it, really hate it.

And Rechan - I hear ya! Our barbarian is pretty good, subbing as another Defender, but it can get tough for me to cover everyone with my shaman. I have to be a few squares behind the main guys, close enough to everyone to heal them, but I also have to keep my spirit companion close to the big guys. And the barbarian is very fond of moving away to get her extra damage... making me have to move my companion (and draw attacks) if I want her to benefit from the bonus healing.
