Drow as in cow and,
The groggy are nards,
Mee-lee, and how and,
The sword is in shards,

The system is broken,
And nerfed is the thing,
The fluff all unspoken,
With crunch on the wing,

Old school may be out and,
New races are inner,
Roleplayers will rout when,
The game's getting thinner,

But what has been forged?
GMS? (please see "indie"),
Rule books all engorged,
And it's still our D&D?

So keep rolling the dice,
And take heart where you can,
It'll be but a trice,
New edition at hand,

Through a planned obsolescence,
Old books will be shelved,
With your acquiescence,
After dungeons you've delved,

There's a place for all gamers,
At a table or two,
Just ignore the defamers,
Buy into the new,

It's disposable income,
Not essential, you know,
Spend and then then some,
Til it's all gone then go,

To a place in a world,
Where your Elf can be free,
With banners unfurled,
Cause it's still D&D.

I've always heard it "gronyerd", but it's not a word I hear spoken very often.

Of course, there's also just "grog" from those using it derogatorily. This one I've heard a fair bit last few years.
