Forked from: What Templates Are Needed?

I really hope that WotC or someone else starts putting out some templates...

Now, we'll get a new sourcebook once a month that's going to cover the heavy hitters, but I think that continuing support for older concepts, campaign settings, niche tastes, corner-cases, etc. is going to come in the form of Dragon articles. Inspired by Rechan's initial question, I was wondering what kind of crunch people most wanted to see in Dragon.

Competent editing. The fewer mistakes I find, the more likely I am to actually use the stuff instead of just writing my own. (Why? Because for every mistake I find, I'll bet there are two more with slightly better Stealth checks.)

Apparently I want what is least popular, monsters and templates. My players don't need a deluge of new options, everything is still a new option. I might throw in the odd bit of crunch from Dragon here and there, but we're basically going core until PHB2 in March. And even then, we'll see.

Lets see here:

No new basic classes, previewing stuff that is going to be put into a book is fine, but a base class really needs to be in a book. That way they are more "official" and get more support, both from the book they are printed in and in later on in Dragon articles. New paragon paths and epic destinies are fine however.

No monsters or templates, that kind of stuff should be in Dungeon for the DM to spring on the hapless players. Monster Races for PC use are great, based on the amount of stuff they did for Warforged.

Everything else is fair game, if only to fully flesh things out.

Oh, and personally I would like a version with toned down colors and pictures so it doesn't kill my ink cartridges when I print them out.
