Formian invasion: how about this?

Vahktang

First Post
So, I'm finally able to use a Formian invasion in my campaign and wanted some opinions.
Formians are the hive mind insect like (Size small to large) critters that are Lawful Neutral and want to turn the whole plane into like minded hives.
Kind of like the 'Borg.
So, the queen can craft magic items and cast spells as a 17th level sorcerer.
(No queens are directly involved in this invasion.)
The Myrmarch are the leader types and can Charm monster at will (as well as other things)
So, I'm thinking:
The queen has a Curse spell that gives a -6 to will saves on Charm Monster spells from the Lawful Neutral.
Do you all think that that is a proper use of a curse spell?

That way the Myrmarch can have all sorts of allies to help with his endeavors.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated for this adventure.

While it may not seem overpowered since it is such a narrow definition I say it definitely is since it perfectly melds with a power of an underling.

I think simply doing a -6 to wisdom curse which will put a hurt on the will save should be more than powerful enough.

Sure, as long as you don't mind your PC's suddenly becoming Lawful Neutral and making Charm Monster wands... I imagine human law can be different enough from formian law that conflicts could still exist!

If something like this would never occur to the players, then the idea might work. You should probably keep in mind that this strategy will work well on those with low Will saves, and less well on those with high Will saves. The latter will probably resist the curse too.

Well, sure, but then _the heroes_ could take advantage of -6 to wisdom.
Big, world conquering (smart) bad guys wouldn't give them that advantage if they could help it, I feel.
