Fortitude and Heavy Shield

I joined into campaign with my friends a while ago, and having played a little, I'm now level 6. So, I went and updated the character using the WotC Character Builder, and noticed some ... wierdness ... regarding the Fortitude Defense when I printed the sheet. First, I should point out that I have the Stout Shield feat, which adds the shield bonus to my fort.

So, using my math, at level 6 I should have:

10+half-level = 13
ability mod = +4
class = 2
enh (amulet of protection = 1
racial mod (human = 1
misc (from feat) = 2
-------------
13+4+2+1+1+2 = 23
​

The Character Builder, however, speweed out these numbers:

10+half-level = 13
abil = 4
class = 2
enh = 1
misc = 5
misc = -2
--------------------
13+4+2+1+4-2 = 23
​

Now, I know that the end-result is the same, but I cant figure out for the life of my why it's adding another 2, and then subtracting it again.

I tested this by unequiping the shield and then viewing the char sheet, and the misc column changed to a simple +1. This makes sense, no shield no bonus. but ... Where on Oerth are they getting these numbers? Has anyone else had this issue??
